There are a lot of things to be obsessed with when it comes to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's engagement, but top of the list is deffffffinitely her vintage-inspired ring by Kindred Lubbock at Artifex Fine Jewelry. And Travis was extremely involved in the design process.
"Travis is incredibly thoughtful. He had a clear vision of what he wanted," a source tells Us Weekly. "He did it almost entirely on his own. He knows her so well and what she likes — a timeless, classic, vintage touch."
Apparently, Travis is "very observant and in tune with" Taylor's style, which "drove his decision. He considered everything about what she’d like and want, and he paid attention to the jewelry she wears often for inspiration."
A source also tells the Daily Mail that "Travis 100 percent planned this by himself. He wanted it to be completely traditional. That he would choose the ring and ask for her to marry him. Based on what he's told me, she would want the whole thing to be traditional, too. She wants him to take the lead."
"Travis literally always said she's the girl he's going to marry, [he has] been saying that for a long time, really since the beginning," the insider added, noting that Trav got Taylor's parents permission before proposing.
"It was of extreme importance to do that, because he wanted it to mean something for everyone involved. This is a dream for him, and he knows that Taylor always wanted to get married. He's a romantic. We'd be like, "Is that for your Pinterest?' If there's any guy who has a scrapbook about his dream wedding, it's TK, It's going to be the wedding of the century."
Oh, and as for the timing of the proposal, apparently friends of the couple thought it would happen "some time after" the NFL season, but "Travis couldn't wait anymore" and "couldn't contain himself."
Relatable.
